The stone on top replaced the other when Alan's wife was buried next to him. The original stone below was in Section Y, Site 375. This section is reserved for cremains only. He was moved to Section M, Site 38 when his wife was buried there in 2016.

Grand Island Independent, (Nebraska) November 30, 2002 Alan Sundstrom NORTH PLATTE — Alan Dee Sundstrom, 55, of North Platte died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002, at Kindred Hospital in Denver. Services will be at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Adams & Swanson Chapel. The Rev. Miguel Guevara will officiate. The body was cremated. There will be no visitation. Those wishing to sign the register book may do so from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Sundstrom was born Aug. 12, 1947, at Grand Island to Vernon and Edna (Hamilton) Sundstrom. Survivors of the immediate family include his wife of North Platte; a daughter, Michelle Fletcher of North Platte; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Gail Parrott of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Kay and Ted Campbell of Florida, Peggy Salina of Lansing, Kan., and Pat and Leonard Proskocil of Ord; and a brother and sister-in-law, Vern and Geta Sundstrom of Stockton, Calif.
