Council Bluffs - Edna S Sundstrom, 82, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, died Friday, Sept. 29 2000, at the Bethany Luther Home in Council Bluffs. There will be no services and the body will be cremated. A private burial will be in Grand Island at a later date. Mrs. Sundstrom was born May 10, 1918, in Holdrege to Felix and Norma (Deason) Hamilton. She attended school in Holdredge. She married Vernon E. Sundstrom and was a housewife and homemaker in Grand Island until the couple moved to North Platte in 1957. They moved back to Grand Island in 1982 and to Council Bluffs shortly after. Survivors include two sons, Vernon Sundstrom of Stockton, Calif. and Alan Sundstrom of North Platte; four daughters, Patty (Mrs. Leonard) Proskocil of Ord, Kay (Mrs. Ted) Campbell of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Gail Parrot of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Peggy Saline of Leavenworth, Kans.; one brother, William Hamilton of Phoenix, Ariz.; one sister, Blythe Arnold of Council Bluffs, Iowa; seventeen grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, and three sisters.
