SARAH ELIZABETH CLEMENTINE "CLEM" HARGROVE-PENN was born on 30 March 1841 in Lawrence County, Alabama to James Hargrove and Rebecca Wells Higginbotham. Clem married Stith Hammon Penn circa 1869 in Hopkins County, Texas, and they had FIVE children that are known of: Almer Penn (1870 -?), Ada Penn-Moore (1872-1939), Lena Penn (1874-1969), Margie M. Penn-Minter (1877-1970), and Marcus Penn (1880-1938). Clem passed away on 07 Nov 1910 in Sulphur Springs, Hopkins County, Texas, and was buried at Greenwood Cemetery in Greenwood, Hopkins County, Texas.
