Bio

Josie Gregory married Alexander Berry on 17 April 1877 Clay County, Texas. He preceded her in death. Children: Mary Etta (Johnson), William Howell "Willie", John Cleveland, Mack Griffin, Rosa E.(died 1895) and Leona (Summers). Note: Leona's first husband, Ben Summmers died. Leona's 2nd marriage was to Montgomery Simpson. Josephine was bitten by a poisonous snake while picking wild plums. Josie died at a hospital in Borger, Texas. Death date on memorial is shown is as per the death certificate. Her family had the body transported to Amherst for burial next to her husband.
