Natty was born in St. Clair Co., AL and died at her daughter's home in Berry Flat, Borden, TX. The cemetery is located 3 to 4 miles from the home of her daughter, Josephine Priscilla Berry. Natty is the daughter of William Alford and Priscilla Truss. She married Griffin Clifford Gregory on 15 September 1856 in St. Clair County, AL. Children: William, Josephine Priscilla (Berry), Jefferson Davis, John, Mary "Mollie" (Morrow), Louisa Ann "Anna" (Masoner), Thomas E., Maude (Jordan) and Inder (Sparks).
