The Wellington Leader Wellington, Texas January 14, 1971 Robert Blasingame, 55, died unexpectedly at his home in Norwalk, California, Thursday, January 7. A former Wellington resident, he was a brother of Mrs. John Ingram and Mrs. Ernest Tate, and a son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Deger. Robert graduated from Wellington (Texas) High School with the Class of 1934. Services were conducted Saturday at Norwalk, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. G.L. Blasingame, he was born at Coolidge and came here in 1915. He was married to Miss Thelma Deger of the Lutie community. They lived at San Antonio before moving to California about 19 years ago. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Thelma Blasingame; three children, Alan, Ross and Diane, all of the Norwalk area; and these brothers and sisters, Mrs. John Ingram, Mrs. Earnest Tate, Mrs. J.J. Owens of Vinson; Mrs. Georgia Lockhart of San Antonio; Woodrow Blasingame of La Punta, California; Mrs. Sallie Langford and Mrs. Miller Cason of Amarillo; Rev. Clint Blasingame of San Antonio, and Rev. Jess Blasingame of San Angelo. A son, Norman, died in action in Vietnam. Angie Mitchell Martin
