Bio

Funeral services for Mrs. Cecilia A. Linden, 61, of Litchfield, were conducted Friday, October 24, 1975, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Gabriel's Catholic Church at Hazard. Father Jan Smutney celebrated the Mass of the Christian Burial. A rosary and visitations were held at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church Thursday evening. Burial was in the Litchfield Cemetery. Music for the service was furnished by the organist, Clarise Riessland and solist, Claudette Sekutera. Casketbearers were Robert Fread, Cecil Slocum, Frank Linden, Dale Randolph, William Rolfsmeyer, and Fred Hansen. Mrs. Linden died following a lengthy illness late Tuesday evening at her home in Litchfield. Cecilia A. Miodowski was born October 25, 1913, at Loup City, Nebraska, the daughter of John and Sophie (Silver) Miodowski. She attended school near Litchfield and grew to womanhood there. Cecilia and Harold Linden were united in marriage at Hazard, Nebraska, May 2, 1939. They farmed in the Hazard and Litchfield area for many years before moving to Litchfield in January, 1975. Mrs. Linden was a member of the St. Gabriel's Catholic Church at Hazard. Survivors include her husband, Harold of Litchfield; one son, Richard of Litchfield; one daughter, Mrs. John (Eva) Eckhout of Amherst, Nebraska; two grandchildren; one sister, Frances Miodowski of Loup City and three brothers, Leo of Grand Island, Francis (Frank) of Loup City, and John of Englewood, Colorado. Mrs. Linden was preceded in death by her parents.
