Bio

Arline M. Fillinger-Scott, 92, of Grand Island, died Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at St. Francis Medical Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, Dec. 5, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Father Francis T. Curran officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. A Rosary will be 6:00 p.m., Sunday, at the church. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. till Rosary time. Kleine Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Arline was born December 25, 1912 at Belfast, NE, the daughter of Jack and Ethel (Cargill) Murphy. She grew up in and around Greeley. On Feb. 8, 1930, she married Oswald Fillinger at Greeley. Mr. Fillinger died July 1, 1974. They moved to Grand Island in 1948. She worked for Twin Rivers and the Ordinance Plant. On May 10, 1977 she married Allen D. Scott. She is survived by her husband, Allen D. Scott, three sons: Don Fillinger and wife “Marge”, Dale and wife “Sally” Fillinger, Roger and wife “Josie” Scott, all of Grand Island, one daughter: Donna Turner of Salt Lake City, Utah, fifteen grandchildren, thirty-nine great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, and sister-in-laws: Marie Graff and Lois Graff, both of Greeley. Arline was preceded in death by her husband, Oswald Fillinger, one son: Benard, one daughter: Darlene, two grandsons, one granddaughter, seven brothers, and two sisters.
