Bio

Henry E. Fieldgrove, 69, of Lubbock, Tex., formerly of St. Michael, died June 9, 1997, at St. Mary Hospital in Lubbock. Services were June 11 at St. Phillip's Catholic Church in Idalou, Tex. The Rev. Roland Boxkempter officiated. Burial was in Idalou Cemetery. White Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Fieldgrove was born on Jan. 10, 1928, at St. Michael to John and Kit (Hetrick) Fieldgrove. He grew up in the Sodtown and Ravenna areas. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post 465. He lived in the Los Angeles area. He married Zoe Janell Culbertson in 1950. He was a retired job foreman for the 3M Co. He then moved to Lubbock, where he married Sara Hernandez. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Donna (Mrs. Larry) Bradford of Washington; several stepchildren; two grandsons; several step grandchildren; five brothers, Amos of Scottsdale, Ariz., John and Mert, both of Litchfield, Allan of Elba and Franklin of Loup City; and two sisters, Lorraine Kowal of Torrance, Calif., and Iona (Mrs. Rupert) Bristol of Burwell. He was preceded in death by one brother, Calvin; and three sisters, Olive Hartong, Kate and Esther. marriage/divorce info: 1st: Zoe J Culbertson Fieldgrove (1932-2009)married 3-29-1950 in Los Angeles Ca, divorced about 1960. They had 1 daughter. 2nd: Phyllis M Adams (Harklerode) Fieldgrove, married 1-13-1962 Clark, Nevada, divorced 1976 in CA. They had no children. 3rd: Sara A Salinas Fieldgrove (1935)married in Lubbock on 9-20-1996.
