Bio

Wellington Leader - October 28, 1971 Owen Ball of Littlefield died October 21 in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Amarillo. He was born April 21, 1897, at Cave City, Arkansas, and came with the family to Collingsworth County in 1919. He was a veteran of World War I. He married Miss Grace Woods here and they moved to Littlefield about 35 years ago. He was a retired trucking firm operator. Survivors are his wife, Grace, two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Calloway of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Della Mae Chapman of Dimmitt; 5 sons: James of Littlefield, Morris of Denver, CO, Bobby of Lawson, OK, Alvin and Max of Dallas; a brother and sister, Jack Ball and Miss Lena Ball of Wellington, 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
