Miss Lee Ball, Long-Time City Resident, Dies Miss Lee Ball, who had made her home here for 49 years died in Thomas Nursing Home about 6 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, after being in ill health for a number of months. Miss Ball was born at Cave City, Ark., Dec. 15, 1894, the daughter of the late John Henry and Nancy Matilda Eason Ball. She grew up at Cave City which was her home until she came with her family to Wellington. She was a member of the Methodist Church, and had a wide circle of friends throughout this area. Funeral services for Miss Ball were conducted at Kelso Chapel Sunday, Nov. 26 at 2:30 p.m., with the Rev. Ellis Todd officiating. Burial was in tho Fairview (West Wellington) Cemetery, under the direction of Kelso Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Clarence Littleton, Roy Sanford of Hollis, John Wolf, Robert Lewis, Alvin Vallance and John Brown. Surviving Miss Ball are one sister, Miss Lena Ball of Wellngton, and three brothers, Jack Ball of Wellington, Henry Ball of Mineral Wells and Owen Ball of Littlefield.
