Bio

Agnes Hutyra, a long-time resident of Mesquite, Texas, was born January 6th, 1919 to Joe and Agnes Nors in West, Texas. She passed away after a long and full life on August 18 at the age of 92. She was a practical woman whose family came first in all she did. After the premature death of her husband Otto in 1966, she raised four children. Her pastimes were sewing, cooking and canning. Her family fondly remembers homemade kolaches, peach, pecan and chocolate pies and canned beets and pickles. Her joy was to host family gatherings where she treated them with their favorites. She has left a loving legacy and will always be remembered for her love of family. She is survived by all four of her children. Kenneth Hutyra and his wife Ngaire, Charlene Mraz, Janice Novotny and her husband Fred, and Richard Hutyra and his wife Lori. Agnes had 9 grandchildren. Theresa Fleming and her husband Jeremy, Stacey Vess and her husband Danny, Mindy Gurley and her husband Robert, daughters of Janice and Fred Novotny. Chris Mraz, Jennifer Decker and her husband David, and Melisa Mraz children of Charlene Mraz. Cindy Baglietto and her husband Mark, Clay Keene and his wife Brooke, step-children of Kenneth Hutyra. Leyla Mowdy and her husband James, step-daughter of Richard Hutyra. In addition there are 9 great-grand-children with one on the way. Kaitlyn Vess, Taylor Fleming, Tanner Mraz, Gunner Mraz, Derek Eving, Taylor Baglietto, Connor Keene, Leif Mowdy, Jewels Mowdy and Lillian Gurley. She is also survived by sisters Christine Bortech, Margie Girard, Irene Mach, Wesley, and Josie Zmolek.
