Mass of Christian Burial for Val Lindemann, 88, of Temple will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Ranjan Cletus officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Taylor. Mrs. Lindemann died Sunday at her residence. Mrs. Lindemann was born February 27, 1925 in Taylor to John Mikeska and Frances Valis Mikeska. She married Ira Lindemann, who preceded her in death. She lived in Texas City for many years before moving to Temple about thirty years ago. She was a supervisor for Southwestern Bell Telephone and worked at Clem Mikeska's BBQ. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar Society and a Prayer Group. She was also a member of KJZT. Mrs. Lindemann was preceded in death by four brothers Mike Mikeska, Luis Mikeska, Maurice Mikeska and Rudy Mikeska; two sisters Martha Vanecek and Ann Jozwiak. Survivors include two brothers Clem Mikeska of Temple and Jerry Mikeska of Columbus. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday with Rosary being recited at 7:00 P.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Scanio-Harper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
