Married Agnes Daisy Fox on November 7, 1923 in Stockham, Hamilton County, Nebraska. ******* Edgar L. Ross, the son of Conrad and Magdalene Bachman Ross, was born October 6, 1902 in Clay County, Nebraska and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska on January 20, 1980 at the age of 77 years, 3 months and 14 days. He grew to manhood at Stockham, Nebraska. On November 7, 1923 he was united in marriage to Agnes Fox at Stockham. He farmed near Stockham after marriage, and later ran a butcher shop for about one year, and worked for the Farmer's Union Association for 20 years, retiring in 1962. Edgar was a member of the United Methodist Church in Aurora. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Herman, a sister Mrs. Irma Fast, 2 sons, Edgar Dean and Dale Owen, and one daughter Maxine Elaine, in infancy. Those who survive to cherish his memory are his loving wife Agnes; his devoted children, Dwight "Whitey" Ross of Aurora, Mrs. Joy Dick, and her husband Earl of Aurora, 2 grandchildren, Mrs. Peggy Tournor and Craig Dick of Aurora, four great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of close friends.
