From "The Hamilton County Register", Aurora, Nebraska dated Friday, September 23, 1927, Page 5: Dale Owen Ross Dale Owen, the beautiful son of Edgar and Agnes Ross, who was sent to gladden their home, April 23, 1927, bid us goodbye for a little while on September 12. While his stay was more beautiful than human tongue can tell, it only stretched out over the short period of four months and twenty-one days. We do not mean to say that this beautiful life ended so soon. No, it had just begun. This little God-given life, in all its purity is not ended. Neither is it lost. Just gone on to await our coming. Dale had a hard battle and we had thought he was winning in the struggle to stay longer with us. His struggles are all over now. No more can sin and sorrow, pain or suffering trouble him. Isn't it lovely of God to take our little ones that suffer to the land of fadeless days. God, we thank thee that thou so kindly takes our little ones that suffer to the land that knows no more suffering. Jesus, tender, meek and mild, Bless the memory of this beautiful child. The funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home and at 2:30 o'clock at the Methodist church. Rev. Powell conducted the services. The body was tenderly laid to rest in the Stockham cemetery.
