From "Aurora News-Register", Aurora, Nebraska dated Friday, June 12, 1953, Page 1: Mrs. Conrad Ross Dies, Rites Friday Mrs. Conrad Ross, longtime resident of the Stockham and Eldorado communities, passed away in Aurora Wednesday morning at the age of 75 years. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 o'clock in the Presbyterian church at Stockham. Interment will be in the Stockham cemetery. A native of Russia, she came to the United States when she was 12 years old and lived in the Eldorado community until her marriage to Conrad Ross in 1899. They moved to a farm west of Stockham, where they lived until they retired in 1921. Mr. Ross died Dec. 13 1948. Survivors include two sons, Herman of Stockham and Edgar of Aurora; one daughter, Mrs. Abe Fast of Salem, Ore.; two sisters, Mrs. Jake Zimbleman and Mrs. W. C. Ochnsner of Lodi, Calif.; one brother, John Bachmann of Oshkosh; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
