Herald Coaster, June 18, 1989: Funeral services for Willie "Bill" Zajicek, 83, of Orchard, are scheduled 10 a.m. Monday, June 19, at the Davis-Dawson Funeral Home in Rosenberg. The Rev. Beseda will officiate, with burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Mr. Zajicek was born May 29, 1906 in Vernon. He married Elsie Sebesta in 1932 and moved to Fort Bend County where he worked as a farmer until he retired. He loved to garden and work with machinery. Mr. Zajicek died at his residence on Thursday. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Elsie Zajicek; one daughter, Delories Mikeska of Rosenberg; two grandsons, Keith and his wife, Amy Bollom, of Orchard, and Billy Mikeska of Houston; two great-grandsons, Brandon and Kevin Bollom, both of Orchard; a sister, Annie Hershman of Vernon; three brothers, Leo Zajicek of Quanah, Joe Zajicek of Borger, and Charlie Zajicek of Vernon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Sunday at the Davis-Dawson Funeral Home in Rosenberg, which is in charge of the arrangements.
