Fort Bend Herald, October 17, 2023: The irrepressible Delories Mikeska died October 8, 2023. She was 88 years old. Born November 1, 1934 in Orchard Texas to Willie and Elsie Zajicek, Delories was a lifelong resident of Fort Bend County and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Rosenberg. She enjoyed dressing with flair, tending to her garden, snuggling with her cat, and bragging about her grandsons and great-grandchildren. She was proud of her Czech heritage and remembered fondly her mother's kolaches and homemade pickles. Predeceased by her parents and sons, Billy and Michael Mikeska, Delories is survived by son, Keith Bollom and wife, Aimee of Orchard, Texas; grandsons, Brandon Bollom and wife, Jennifer, of Tokushima-ken, Japan, Kevin Bollom and wife, Marla, of Denver Colorado; four great-grandchildren, Oliver, Truman, Wren, and May Bollom; and her loving cousins and friends. The family would like to thank her wonderful neighbors for their kindness and invaluable assistance during the last months of her life. No memorial service is planned at this time. Family and friends will gather in January to remember Delories and celebrate her life. No funeral arrangements are planned at this time.
