Bio

Graveside services for Joe Zajicek, 80, Borger, were at 11 a.m. today at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Wyatt Carpenter, pastor Keeler Baptist Church, officiating. Mr. Zajicek died Saturday, June 8, 1991 in Borger Nursing Center. A native of West Texas, he moved to Borger from Amarillo in 1945. He was an operator with Phillips Petroleum Company at the Plains Plant for 30 years before he retired in 1975. He was a member of Keeler Baptist Church. He married Corine Rollins July 28, 1939 in Quanah. Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Billy Joe Zajicek of Littleton, Colo.; and Charles Ross Zajicek of Grand Prairie; two brothers, Charlie Zajicek of Vernon; and Leo Zajicek of Quanah; one sister, Annie Herchman of Vernon; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Leonard Foster, Dennis Hood, George Wright, Albert Meyer, Mark Grimes, and Larry Goodgion.
