Bio

Herald Coaster, November 10, 1998: Elsie B. Zajicek passed away Nov. 8, 1998 in her home. She was born Oct. 19, 1913 in Orchard to Emilie and Bohuslav Sebesta, where she was raised and attended the Krasna schools. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry Boulevard (FM 2218 and Highway 59) in Rosenberg. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Davis-Greenlawn, and interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Rev. Henry Beseda of Caldwell will officiate the services. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Zajicek; her parents; two infant sons; and a grandson, Michael Mikeska. Survivors include her daughter, Delories Mikeska; grandsons, Keith Bollom and his wife, Aimee, and Billy Mikeska; great-grandsons, Brandon and Kevin Bollum; sisters, Mildred Kamas, Marie Zatyka and her husband, Felix; brothers, Denver Sebesta, Leonard Sebesta and his wife, Emma Lee; dear friends, Jim Sparren and his wife, Ruth, of Sugar Creek, Ohio, Cynthia Rice, her husband, Gary, and children of Shepherd; nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives. The family would like to give special thanks to the doctors and nurses who cared for Elsie during her short illness. For those wishing, memorial donations may be made to the Orchard Volunteer Fire Department. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. (281) 341-8800.
