Bio
Sarah Winifred Ellington married her first cousin Joel Ellington on December 11th 1842 They raised twelve children in the Gum Creek district of Oxford Georgia. The Georgia Enterprise, Nov. 7, 1902 Death of Mrs. Sarah Ellington Mrs. Sarah Ellington, one of the oldest and most highly respected women in the northern part of the county, died at her home, Monday after an illness of many months. She was seventy-seven years of age and was the mother of a large family of children. She is survived by the following children; Mr. Albert Harvey Ellington, of Jackson, Tenn., Mr. James Anderson Ellington, of Krigg (Craig?) Tex.; Mrs. George Smith (Rebecca)of Lithonia; Mrs.J. W.(Nancy) Albert, of Covington, and Messrs Sidney Ross, Joel B, William Archibald and Robert Lee Ellington of Oxford GA
