Herald Coaster, February 1, 1990: Funeral services for Simon Fajkus, 69, of Rosenberg, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg. Pastor Dan Warden will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. A rosary will be held 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, at the Davis Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Mr. Fajkus was born May 26, 1920 in Orchard. He was a veteran of World War II, fought in New Guinea, and was stationed in Australia. Mr. Fajkus is survived by wife, Janet; two sons, Rodney of Beasley and Carroll of Rosenberg; three sisters, Caroline Bergen of Orchard, Molly Barta of East Bernard, and Martha Viktorin of East Bernard; and one brother, Lenard of Beasley. Friends may call at the Davis Funeral Home in Rosenberg after 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
