Bio
Rosenberg Herald, November 27, 1942: Daniel C. Fajkus, age 20 years, died in a Houston hospital Tuesday, November 17, 1942, following injuries he received at the Houston Shipbuilding Corporation. Another young man was killed and several others seriously injured at the same time. Funeral services for Mr. Fajkus were held at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Fajkus, in the Cottonwood community Thursday morning, November 19, 1942, at 9:30 o'clock, and at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg at 10 o'clock. Rev. J.J. Tydlacka, pastor of Holy Rosary, conducted the services. Interment took place in the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery, Rosenberg. The Foerster Funeral Home of Rosenberg had charge of funeral arrangements. Deceased is survived by his wife; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Fajkus of the Cottonwood community; two brothers; and three sisters, to whom sincere sympathy is extended.
