(KS) Belleville Telescope May 9, 1929 Mrs. Anna Shimek was born in Melnik, Wis., November 3, 1885, and died in the hospital at Concordia, April 28, 1929, age 43 years, 5 months and 25 days. In her sixth year, 1891, she came with her parents to live on a farm near Narka, here she lived until the time of her marriage to Edward Shimek, which was Febr. 19, 1905. They lived on a farm near her home until six years ago, when they moved to Cuba, where they have been engaged in business and in which she took an active part. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, Edward Shimek, her mother, Mrs. Rose Kasha, five brothers and three sisters, Mrs. Julia Chapman of North Hollywood, Cal., Wesley B. Kasha of Kremlin, Okla., John J. Kasha, of Lacombe, Canada, Frank R. Kasha of Hallam, Neb., A. E. Kasha of Lost Springs, Kans., Rose and Mary of Cuba. He father and brothers preceded her in death, her father died Nov. 24, 1923. Henry was killed in France in the World War. Louis died July 13, 1924 and one brother died in childhood. She was a member of the Rebecca lodge and the Sokol organization. Funeral Services were conducted by Rev. Vacha Kejr, Dubuque, Iowa. Rundus, choir of Munden sang two beautiful numbers. Funeral offerings were many and beautiful. Interment was made in the Kasha cemetery near Narka.
