Bio

(KS) Belleville Telescope Sept. 30, 1965 Edward A. Shimek, son of Frank and Rose Shimek was born June 16, 1884 on a farm south of Narka, Kan., and died September 26, 1965 in Belleville at the age of 81. He was educated in rural schools in Republic County and took a correspondence course in Veterinary medicine. On February 19, 1905 he was united in marriage to Anna Kasha. They had no children. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers and three sisters. He is survived by nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services were held from Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart Memorial Chapel in Belleville. Interment was in National (Kasha) Cemetery.
