Bio

Rosalia Shara (last name correctly spelled Šara) was actually born on 28th Oct, 1851 in the village of Bechlin, house #14 in the Litomerice district, Roudnice region (now called the Ústí nad Labem Region), Bohemia (now the Czech Republic. Her birth entry from the parish records is provided here. (KS) The Belleville Telescope 8-2-1934 Mrs. Rozy Kasha Rozy Shara was born in the Village of Vesnice Bekof, County of Okres Melinicky, State of Prazcky, Czecho-slovakia, November 1, 1851, and died at her home in Cuba, Kansas, July 26, 1934, at the age of 82 years, 9 months and 25 days. She was united in marriage to V.S. Kasha at Manitowoc, IA. April 28, 1872. They later moved to Kansas north of Cuba. To this union were born 13 children. Her husband, three sons and two daughters preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her loss three daughters and five sons: Mrs. Julia Chapman of Los Angeles, Cal. Mrs. Rosa Belik of Prague, Neb. Mrs. Mary Bartusek of Cuba, Kan. John Kasha of Alberta, Canada Adolph Kasha of Kansas City, MO. Frank Kasha of North Platte, NE. Joe Kasha of Lost Springs, KS. Wesley Kasha of Enid, OK. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Anna Moravek of Cuba, KS.; twenty grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Bartusek with whom she had made her home the past 11 years. Interment was in (Kasha) National Cemetery south of Narka, Kansas
