Bio

Tracy Prins, 79, of Sioux Center died Tuesday, December 27, at the Sioux Center Hospital Wing. Services were at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, December 29, at Carmel Reformed Church at Carmel with the Rev. Virgil Dykstra officiating, Burial was in the Carmel Cemetery. Born Tracy Remmerde June 29, 1909, in Carmel, she lived her youth and attended school there. She married John M. Prins December 21, 1926, in Carmel. They lived at rural Rock Valley until they moved into Sioux Center in March 1970. She was a lifelong member of Carmel Reformed Cnurch and a member of the Ladies Aid. Survivors include two daughters, Rosanna Klarenbeek of Sheldon and Lenore Prins of Sioux Center; three sons, Martin Prins of Ireton, Melvin Prins of Lakewood, California, and Stanley Prins of Sioux Center; a sister, Tilda Van Berkum of Rock Valley; two brothers, Rob Remmerde of Sioux Center and John Remmerde of Rock Valley; 19 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
