Bio

Elizabeth Prins, 77, of Sioux Center died Thursday, December 1, in a Sioux Center hospital. Services were at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Carmel Reformed Church with the Rev. Virgil Dykstra officiating. Burial was in the Carmel Cemetery. Born Elizabeth Remmerde March 10, 1911, at Carmel, she lived her youth in Carmel and attended rural school. She married Harry Prins January 8, 1931, at Carmel. The couple lived in the Carmel area and had lived in Sioux Center the last 20 years. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Joan Te Grotenhuis of Sioux Center; a son, Marvin of Sioux Center; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Tracy Prins of Sioux Center and Tilda Van Berkum of Rock Valley; and two brothers, John Remmerde of Rock Valley and Robert Remmerde of Sioux Center.
