Bio
Rosenberg Herald, July 26, 1956: Final rites were held Tuesday in Needville for Bill August Gragert, 48, from the E and R Church, with Rev. Frank Nagy, officiating. Mr. Gragert was born in Lyons and moved to Fort Bend County in 1927 from Burleson County. He was the Constable of Needville and up for re-election in this Saturday's election. Mr. Gragert is survived by his wife, Mrs. Katie Gragert, Needville; one son, Wilfred of Dallas; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Jean Nordt of Damon and Mrs. Elenora Sbrusch of Beasley; two brothers, Otto of Houston and Fritz of Booth; three sisters, Mrs. Ida Aetzel of West Columbia, Mrs. Rosie Cure of Houston, and Mrs. Mamie Westcott of Houston; three grandchildren. Interment was made in the E & R Cemetery in Needville under the direction of Garmany-Janca Funeral Home of Needville.
