Bio

Herald Coaster, August 18, 1969: Funeral services for Fritz A. Gragert, 64, of 1200 Austin St., Richmond, were scheduled for 3 p.m. today in the St. John's United Church of Christ in Rosenberg, with the Rev. Donald Kolkmeier officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mr. Gragert died Saturday in Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital. He was a retired farmer and a native of Lyons. He had resided in Fort Bend County for 44 years. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie O. Gragert; three sons, Walter Gragert and Wilbur J. Gragert, both of Houston, and George Gragert of Rosenberg; one brother, Otto Gragert of Houston; three sisters, Mrs. Ida Netzel of Brazoria and Mrs. Rosie Cure and Mrs. Mamie Westcott, both of Houston; and four grandchildren. Pallbearers were Walter Scherer, Rudolph Schulz, August Zgabay, Otto Gaskamp Jr., G.B. Watson, and J.L. Harwell. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Garmany & Co. Funeral Directors.
