Bio

Son of Delbert Walker and Cyntha Elizabeth Clark Married Earlin Cunningham on February 2, 1939. I, Darrell Wallace Walker, was born Oct. 5, 1916, in Pleasant Grove, Utah County, Utah, to Cyntha Park and Delbert Walker. Father was a farmer and they resided on the farm all the years of their married life. My memories of my childhood days were very happy ones. There was a lot of work, with 13 children in the family; everyone was trained to do his part. I am No. 12, in the family. I graduated from Pleasant Grove High. One of my main interests in school was sports. I met my wife, Earlin Cunningham, in 1937 and later, we were married in Salt Lake City, Utah. We were later married and sealed to our children in the Salt Lake Temple. Two years after our marriage I entered vocational school in Provo and studied to be a welder. After completing the course the family and I moved to Portland, Oregon. Our work was building ships for the war against Japan and Germany. We stayed in Oregon for a year. They started construction on the Geneva Steel Plant; so we returned to Utah, and I went to work as a welder in Central Maintenance here. I have worked for 16 years. I feel I am blessed with a good home and family living in a land full of plenty- (11/20/62) By Darrell Wallace Walker. He passed away 30 Sept 1973 in American Fork, Utah, Utah and buried in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, Utah, Utah.
