Bio

Son of Delbert Walker and Cynthia Elizabeth Park Husband of Ellen Cloe Bezzant, married 5 Nov 1924 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah Husband of Burnetta Allen, 6 September 1980, Provo, Utah, Utah I, Guy Taylor Walker, was born May 22, 1906, in Pleasant Grove, Utah, a son of Delbert and Cynthia Park Walker. I received my education at the Pleasant Grove Schools where many good days were enjoyed while attending school and school activities. While going to school I was also engaged in farm work along with my brothers and sisters on our father's farm. Many days we labored hard on the farm which gave us children a big appetite to enjoy the large well cooked and well-prepared meals that our mother worked so hard to prepare for the thirteen children in our family. On Nov. 5, 1924, I married Cloe Bezzant of Lindon, Utah, in the L.D.S. Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah. After our marriage, we gave up farming in Pleasant Grove and moved to Bingham Canyon, Utah where I am employed as a mine operator for the Utah Copper Company. After living in Bingham for two years we then moved to Provo, Utah where we have made our home. On Aug. 5th, 1926 I was employed by Columbia Steel Corp. at the Ironton Plant. I was assigned to the Coke Plant Department. After working in this department for 17 years, I had completed working on all occupations in this department. On October 16, 1943, I was assigned Turn foreman in the Coke Plant and By-Products Department. This job I held until my retirement which will be Nov. 1, 1960, with 34 years service for the Company. We have four loving sons. By Guy Taylor Walker
