OBITUARY March 2, 1992 "Sulphur Springs News-Telegram" Sulphur Springs, Texas Funeral services for James Robert Littrell, 87, of Beaumont and a former Hopkins County resident, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Tapp Funeral Chapel with Rev. Don Tinsley officiating. Burial will be in Emblem Cemetery. He died Sunday at a hospital in Beaumont from injuries received in an automobile accident Thursday. He was born on December 8, 1904 near Emblem to Jesse Calvin "Cap" and Lela (Waller) Littrell. He served in the Army. He was a retired welder. He married Julia Mae Craig on March 19, 1932 in Sulphur Springs. She died on November 17, 1977. He is survived by his son, Robert Carroll Littrell of Vidor; his daughter, Lela Mae Adams of Beaumont; his half brothers, Donald Dewain Littrell of Saltillo, and Jesse Calvin Littrell, Jr. and J. D. Littrell, both of Sulphur Springs; his half sisters, Mary Catherine Green of Cumby and Thelma Raye Kirtley of Sulphur Springs; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
