Married David Ledbetter on 26 Dec 1872 in Elmore County, Alabama. ————— Sudden Death at Maple Van Alstyne, Tex., Feb. 3 — The wife of Dave E. Ledbetter was found dead at the home of the family at Maple, ten miles west of here yesterday morning between 11 and 12 o'clock. Death was caused from a paralytic stroke and the body was still warm when discovered. The deceased has suffered for nearly two years from paralysis and once before she was unconscious for several hours from a sudden stroke and her life was despaired of for two or three days. T. P. Howle of this place is a brother of the lady and was the fight one here to receive intelligence of the affair. The deceased had been a member of the M. E. church, South, for many years and was a sweet spirited christian woman. The family is one of prominence in this county and her death is a misfortune to all. The interment will take place here in the cemetery at 4 o'clock and Rev. J. B.
