Bio

Kizzie was the daughter of William Milton Scarbrough and Deniza Hambright, and some of her siblings were Mary Ann who married John A. Turley; Lavina married Nathaniel Spearman Price; William Franklin married Harriett Davis; Sarah Hardin married James C. Denton; and three siblings who died young, Urana, James and Martha. There was also an unnamed infant who died at birth. Kizzie married James H. Calhoun on the 19th of August 1892, and they were parents of three children, Athol, Gussie Kate, and a child who died young. Their son Athol was a well known farmer and civic leader.
