Gladys Collins Barmore, 90, passed away at 7:35 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005, in St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. She was born in Cravens, but had lived most of her life in the Beauregard Parish and Vernon Parish area. She was the owner of A to Z Flea Market and co-owner of A1 Pawnshop in Rosepine. She attended the Rosepine United Pentacostal Church. She is survived by three sons, Donald Collins of Rosepine, Kenneth Collins and Linda of Dry Creek, and Dean Collins of DeRidder; three daughters, Reba Wisby and Fred of DeRidder, Barbara Johnson and J.L. of Cravens, and Joyce Weeks and Reid of Rosepine; one sister, Roda Bailey of DeRidder; 16 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 34 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter Vernice Betkey. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov 22, in Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder. The Rev. Gary Bankson will officiate. Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery in Sugartown.
