Obituary: Departed from this life to life eternal, June 25th, 1894, Mrs. Kittie M. (Karnes) Lovell, wife of W. F. Lovell, age 27 years, 5 months, and 2 days. The decease was born in Henry county, Illinois, in 1867, and moved with her parents to Saunders county, Nebraska, June 25th 1879, and from there to Dixon county in 1888. Was married to W. F. Lovell May 21st. 1886. Two children, a boy and a girl, were born to bless this union and now sorrow for a mother's care. Mrs. Lovell was a kind loving wife and mother, she was tender, careful and considerate, always ready to administer to the wants of others from childhood up. As a neighbor she was extremaly kind and obliging, loving everybody as herself. May we all bow in humble submission to the divine decree, as we feel that our loss is her eternal gain. A light is from our circle gone A voice we loved is stilled. A place is vacant in our midst And never can be filled We call her dead, but well we know She dwells where living waters flow She hath fallen asleep, told the bobo O'er the Meek heart so pulsless and still She hath gone to her father and ours And our grief is His Glory and will The rest which he gives his beloved Is His, untroubled and deep and because we so loved her we say It is well she hath fallen asleep Parents Dear our home is sad Our hearts are full of grief. None but the Savior of the world Can give you some relief Just think of this "I am the Life" These are words he spake Then drink the cup and pray the prayer Thy will for Jesus sake Bid darkness from your home depart No more on earth complain Your loving daughter will be restored When Jesus comes to reign Written in memory of our daughter J.W. and L.A.
