Kozisek Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Oct. 21 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ulysses for Robert John Kozisek, 73, who died Sunday, Oct. 17 at his home near Surprise. Msgr. G. J. Schuster officiated. Pallbearers were Art Kozisek, John Hottovy, Jr., Don Kozisek, Frank Jisa, Emil Jisa, and Laddie Jisa. Burial was in Bruno Catholic Cemetery. Robert J. Kozisek, the son of John and Anna Sabata Kozisek, was born July 3, 1892, at Bruno. On Oct.28, 1913, he was married to Mary Jisa at Dwight. Nine children were born to this union. He was engaged in farming and was a member of the Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife; three sons, Jerry of Silver Creek, Rudy of Columbus, and Richard of Rising City; five daughters, Mrs. Ed (Lucelle) Filipi of Leigh, Mrs. Charles (Adeline) Root of Littleton, Colo., Mrs. Daniel (Margaret) Pasonault of Bellevue, Mrs. Wilson (Geraldine) Shuler of Columbus, and Mrs. Kenneth (Deloris) Wilger, of Lincoln; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Shonka of Dwight and Mrs. John E. Hottovy of David City; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. An infant daughter, Martha preceded him in death.
