Born in Hrotovice, Moravia, Austrian Empire (now in the Czech Republic), the daughter of Josef and Mary (Prochazka) Janousek. Married Anton Svitak on September 8, 1893 at David City, Nebr. by a County Judge. '''''''''''' Butler County Press (David City, Nebr.), June 24, 1909, p. 6, col. 5 Mrs. Frances Svitak was born in Moravia, Europe, in 1870, and died at her late residence in David City, Nebraska, June 19, 1909. She leaves three daughters, all of whom are unmarried, to mourn the loss of a mother. Six sisters, Mrs. Sweenie, Mrs. Disney, Mrs. Stager, Mrs. Bencher, and Mrs. McFarland, of this city, and Mrs. Kerchnavy, of Greely County, and two brothers, Jos. and Chas. Janosek, survive her. Funeral services were held Monday, June 21, from St. Mary's Catholic church. Interment took place in the Catholic Cemetery.
