1974 September 5, Thursday, "The Banner-Press" (David City, Nebraska), page 11 Services Held For Mrs. Pete Buntgen Funeral services for Mrs. Pete (Antonia) Buntgen, 90. were conducted Wednesday morning, Aug. 28, from St. Mary's Catholic Church. Mrs. Buntgen died August 25 at the Butler County Hospital. Msgr. A. J. Lisko officiated at the services. Pallbearers were Arthur Butgen, Everett McCracken, Charley Straka, Anton Janousek, Fred McFarland and Clarence Leimser. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Relatives coming from a distance to attend the services were from Rising City, Columbus, Albion, St. Edward, North Platte, Omaha, Lincoln, West Point, and Duncan, Yuma and Golden, Colo.,Grinnell, Mason City and Gilman, Iowa. Antonia Janousek, the daughter of Joseph Janousek and Mary Prohaska, was born May 1, 1884, at Prague. She was married to Pete Buntgen, who preceded her in death in 1942. Five children were born to this union. She was a member of the Catholic Chursh and PCCW. Survivors include her five children, Charles, Clinton, and Harry and Mrs. Harry (Margaret) Kilgore of David City, and Mrs. Robert (Clara) Thomazin of Grinnell, Iowa; two half-brothers, Emil and James Janousek of Lincoln; a sister, Mary Taddiken of Shelby; 15 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Joe, Anton and Charley; a half-brother, John Lad; a half-sister, Bessie; and six sisters, Mrs. Joe (Mary) Krchman, Mrs. Anton (Fannie) Svitak, Mrs. William (Rose) McFarland, Mrs. Joe (Carrie) Steager, Mrs. Willaim [sic] (Ann) Sweenie, and Mrs. William (Stacy) Disney.
