"The Banner-Press" (David City, Nebraska), 13 April 1967, Thursday, page 20 ANTON JANOUSEK FUNERAL SERVICES HELD TUESDAY Anton Janousek, 90, a Brainard resident, died at the Schuyler Hospital Saturday, April 8. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, April 11, at the Holesovsky Funeral Home in Brainard. Rev. Lloyd V. Mohnkern officiated. Louis Petrzilka, Leonard Novacek, James Navratil, James J. Petrzilka, Ray Petrzilka and Joe Sisel served as pallbearers. Burial was in the Brainard National Cemetery. Anton Janousek, son of Joseph and Marie Jajousek, was born May 12, 1876, in Moravia. At the age of four he came to the United States. On Oct. 2, 1902, he married Mary Rejda. To this union four children were born. Their entire lifetime was spent residing in the Brainard community where Mr. Janousek was engaged in farming. He was a 50-year member of the ZCBJ Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Mry; two sons, Louis and Anton; two brothers, James and Emil A. Janousek both of Lincoln; and three sisters, Mrs. Tony Buntgen and Mrs. Stacy Disney both of David City and Mrs. Mary Taddiken of Shelby. One son, Ernest; one daughter, Mary ? [illegible]; ? brothers, Joseph, Charles, John and Lad; and five sisters, Francis Svitak, Rose McFarland, Mary Krichnavy, Anna Sweeney and Carrie Steager, preceded him in death.
