She is survived by sons: James Lloyd; John Lloyd and his wife, Karen; daughter, Terri Castleberry and her husband, Tom; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Uralee Farell and Maureen Stepter; and many nieces and nephews. She served many years at the First Baptist Church of Dallas and First Baptist Church of Garland in several roles, mainly as a Sunday school teacher in the Children's Division. She also participated and enjoyed many years as a member of the Garland Tale Spinners Story league, Garland Women's Study Club, Women's Missionary Union, and was a leader in Camp Fire Girls. After raising her children, Lucille was medical secretary for the Sammons Cancer Center at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. Lucille was known to many as a close and loving friend, always reaching out with a smile and a covered dish. Now free of pain, she is in her permanent home in heaven, joining her husband Rene and waiting for the rest of us. Visitation is at 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas on Tuesday, October 9, 2012. Services will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2012 in Wildwood Chapel at Restland at 10:00 a.m., with burial following.
