Maureen Barker Stepter August 5, 1931 ~ March 22, 2014 Maureen Stepter was born August 05, 1931 in Fairlie, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. J F Barker. She passed away March 22, 2014. She attended East Texas State before moving to Dallas, Texas where she met and married her husband, Norman Stepter, while working at Western Electric Company. At first she was a secretary and then was promoted to supervisor in human resources until the divestiture. Maureen then went to work for her church, Wilshire Baptist Church as an administrative assistant. She was a very active member, coordinating the Adventure Club, which was a travel club, she also was involved in many other aspects of church life, baptisms, lord supper, Sunday school and served Wednesday prayer meals until her final retirement. In 2011 when she was diagnosed with cancer she was very active with traveling, visiting with family and other loved ones. She loved to travel, doing arts and crafts, cooking and being with friend. She loved her family and being around them, as they loved her. The family will receive friends and loved ones March 26, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas...RFH
