Ernest H McBeth (1911 NE-1986 CO) ---------------------------------------- Anna Shotkoski, 83, Dies at Burwell After Long Illness Funeral services are set for Thursday (today) at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church for Mrs. Anna Shotkoski who died Oct. 20 at the Burwell Community Hospital where she had been a patient for some time. The Rev. Stanley Gorak will officiate at the 10 am services. Burial will be in the Ord Catholic Cemetery. Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Frank Kapustka of Ord, Mrs. E. H. McBeth of Omaha, Mrs. Frank Micek of Elyria and Mrs. Al Krolikowski of Loup City; four sons, Ted, Ray and Floyd, all of Ord, and Leonard of Omaha; 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Also eight sisters Mrs. John Swertzic of Fullerton, Mrs. Charles Brudney of Platte Center, Mrs. Andrew Shotkoski of Elyria, Mrs. Joe Wadas, Mrs. John Janus, Mrs. Joe M. Jablonski, Mrs. Ed Jablonski and Mrs. Alfonza Walahowski, all of Ord, and two brothers, Steve Dubas of Ord and Leo Dubas of Burwell. She was preceded n death by her parents husband, one son Syl and one brother. Mrs. Shotkowski was born June 15, 1887 in Polk County. She was the daughter of Andrew and Agnes Podraza Dubas. She moved to Nance County in the early 1900's. On Feb. 10, 1909 she and Frank Shotkoski were married at Elyria. Their home was on a farm near Ord. Mr. Shotkoski died in 1944 and in 1957 Mrs. Shotkoski moved to Ord to make her home. She was a member of the Ord Catholic Church. The Ord Quiz - Thur, Oct 22 1970, Sect 1, Pg 6, Col 1,2,3
