Nov 1884, last found in 1900 Polk Co, NE Federal Census) Possibly: Andrew Agnes -------------------------------------------------------- Final Rites for Mrs. Agnes Dubas Held on Monday Mrs. Agnes Dubas, 88, passed away at 8:45 o'clock Saturday evening, Aug. 2 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Andrew Shotkoski, of Elyria. Mrs. Dubas had been ill the past six weeks. The daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Podraza, she was born in 1859 in Pilzno, Poland. She married Andrew Dubas in 1874 and that year, they came to Columbus, Nebr., to make their home. Mr. and Mrs. Dubas settled on a farm in Polk county until 1906 when they moved to Valley County. Mr. and Mrs. Dubas were the parents of 17 children, of whom 12 survive. Mr. Dubas died in 1936 and Mrs. Dubas has since made her home with her children. She is survived by three sons, Frank and Steve Dubas, Burwell; Leon Dubas, Grand Island; nine daughters, Mrs. Stella Swertzic, Silver Creek; Mrs. Mary Brudny, Platte Center; Mrs. Josephine Shotkoski, Elyria; Mrs. Anna Shotkoski, Ord; Mrs. Veronica Wadas and Mrs. Sophie Janus, both of Ord; Mrs. Emma Jablonski, Elyria; Mrs. Martha Jablonski, Burwell; Mrs. Alfonza Walachawski, Ord; one sister, Mrs. Frank Jarecki, Columbus; 61 grandchildren, 72 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Requiem high mass was held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Elyria with Rev. Leonard Ziolkowski, officiating.
