Leonard grew up in the Ord area and served in the Army during the Korean War. After servicing his country Leonard made his home in Omaha where he was employed. He was married October 19, 1957, to Mary Ann Waszak. Leonard was a member of American Legion Post 331. He is survived by wife Mary Ann, sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Laura, Gerald and Elizabeth, son, Patrick; daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and William Cox, all of Omaha, granddaughter, Amanda Shotkoski, brother Ted of Ord, Ne; sisters Sally Kaput, Ord, NE; Martha McBeth, Pueblo, CO; Dorothy Micek, Elyria, NE; Alice Krolikowski, Loup City, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Syl, Ray, and Floyd. Funeral services were held July 9, 1990 at St. Stanislaus Church in Omaha. Interment was at St. Johns Cemetery, Omaha.
