REZAC RITES AT SCHUYLER CHURCH Funeral services for Mrs. Martin Rezac, 87, of Linwood was held Friday afternoon at First Presbyterian Church in Schuyler. The Rev. David A. Cunningham officiated. Burial was in Linwood National Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Edward Sabatka, Rudoph Rezac, Raymond Kriz, Emil Kracman, A. J. Hoffman and Longin Rezac. George C. Novotny sang the hymns, accompanied by Miss Bozena Novotny. Svoboda Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Rezac, mother of Mrs. A. W. Johannes of Schuyler, died at Memorial Hospital Tuesday, Feb. 21. She was hospitalized Jan. 15 after receiving a fractured hip. A native of Czechoslovakia, Mrs. Rezac, the former Antonia Sabatka, was born Oct. 11, 1874. She was a daughter of John and Mary Sabatka. The family came to the United States in 1879, locating in Saunders County. Miss Sabatka and Mr. Rezac were married in Abie Feb. 28, 1894. They established their home southeast of Linwood, where they lived the remainder of their lives. Mr. Rezac preceded his wife in death on April 15, 1941. She was a member of the ZCBJ Lodge. Immediate survivors are three sons, Leonard at home, Emil of Linwood and Edward of Omaha; a daughter, Ann, Mrs. Johannes, four grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
