KRUG, OLLIE MAY—Ollie May Cummings Jezek Krug was born to Arling and Caroline Cummings on Jan. 5, 1912, at Tobias, and passed away on Jan. 31, 1995, at her home in Strang, at the age of 83 years and 26 days. She was baptized and confirmed in the Methodist faith and attended school at Tobias. Ollie was married to Lou Jezek in 1928, at Tobias. They were blessed with two children, Betty Jezek Barnett and Robert Jezek. On March 19, 1966, she was united in marriage to Leland Krug of Strang. They lived in Strang since their marriage, where Ollie was the postmaster, until her retirement. Ollie was a loving wife and mother. She loved seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ollie enjoyed being around people and visiting with them. For many years she was active on a bowling team in Geneva. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lou; daughter, Betty, granddaughter, Susan; and grandson, Joh. She is survived by her husband, Leland; son, Robert Jezek; granddaughters, Marry Walling and Nancy Riley; four great-granddaughters, and two great-grandsons; and a sister, Helen Norton. Funeral services were conducted from the Grace Lutheran Church of Ohiowa on Friday, Feb. 3, with Pastors Les and Bonnie Larsen officiating. Nancy Cradduck accompanied the congregation who sang “How Great Thou Art” and “Children of the Heavenly Father.” Gaylord Cradduck sang “In the Garden” and “The Old Rugged Cross.” Casket bearers were Clarence Sallomon, Wayne Matejka, Perry Dittmer, Edward Sieckmann, Kenneth Ebbeka and George Cruse.
