Bio

Butler County Press (David City, Nebr.), December 5, 1918, p. 4, col. 2 Edholm Mrs. Votava, wife of John Votava, Sr., died Monday, Dec. 2, at 8 a.m. from pneumonia. Until recently Mr. and Mrs. Votava had resided on a farm southeast of Edholm. Mrs. Votava was the mother of 14 children, 11 of whom are living, namely, Mrs. Hyney, residing in Kansas, Mrs. Dworak, Mrs. Buresh and Mrs. Sabata of Valparaiso, Frank Votava of Edholm, Mrs. Ratkovec of Valparaiso, Peter Votava and Vincent Votava of Edholm, Anton Votava, in military training camp, Blanche Votava and Joe Votava, at home. Funeral services were held in the Abie cemetery Wednesday, Dec. 4, at 11:30 a.m.
