Kracman of Linwood, had the bad luck last Friday evening. While driving the cattle home from the field, his horse slipped and Emil was thrown off and badly hurt. Dr. Haslem of Fremont and Dr. Drasky of Linwood were called to atttend him and reported him in a very critical condition. p. 3, col. 3 Emil Kracman died Monday morning at the home of his brother Fred who resides northeast of Abie. '''''''''''''''''''''''''''' Butler County Press , December 24, 1908, p. 4, col. 3 Linwood Items Emil Kracman, whose death we mentioned in last week's news, was buried last Wednesday in the Abie Catholic cemetery. It was one of the largest funerals we have ever attended. There were over two hundred vehicles following the hearse. His coffin was covered with flowers.
